On your site in the section about the KJV you wrote, "the New International Version (which is based heavily on the Jehovah's Witnesses' version)" I have never heard this before, do you offer a reference for this fact? In Christ

From: Manager Rev. Jim Sent: 5/15/2004 5:33 PM There is a massive amount of references and resource books that show this. Some of my favorite books are NEW AGE BIBLE VERSIONS and WHICH BIBLE IS GOD'S WORD, by University of Virginia professor and Christian, Dr. Gail Riplinger(www.avpublications.com). Also, the Dean Burgon Society for Manuscipt Evidence provides dozens of books exposing each of the different new bible versions (www.deanburgonsociety.org). These are by far not the only references, but are very noteworthy.

From: Manager Rev. Jim Sent: 5/17/2004 7:00 PM Hi, There are many "godly men and women" who support new bible versions or who have no view either way (I was one of them for quite some time). This is usually based on their belief that we do not have God's absolute pure Word today, that only the original manuscripts are 100% trustworthy. Most "christian" colleges, Bible schools, and seminaries promote that false doctrine. I have read the KING JAMES ONLY CONTROVERSY. All of the points which Mr. White attempts to use against the KJV has time and time again been refuted, yet his book continues to sell and deceive multitudes of Christians. His modus operandi is to dance around the issues, fling unfounded attacks at the KJV and character assassinations of its supporters, and neglect the accusations against the new versions. The scholarship behind the KJV is undisputable. I myself am a fluent reader of the Bible in the Ben Chayyim Old Testament Hebrew and the Textus Receptus New Testament Greek and have seen first hand that the KJV is word for word perfect in its translation. It is important to note that when the new versions came out on the market, chiefly beginning with the Revised Version, there was no debate whatsoever over the soundness of the KJV's translation. The new versions were touted solely as "easier to read" versions. It is not the KJV that must be judged, but all of these new versions which claim to be the Word of God in easy-to-read format. It was when supporters of God's Word started to critique these new versions that anyone even questioned the KJV. The KJV was already KNOWN to be pefectly translated, which should leave a Christian to wonder why these anti-KJVists would go out of their way to attack it. The interesting thing to note about authors such as Mr. White is that they are not trying in any way to defend God's Word. This automatically makes their motives suspect. They are in fact trying to "prove" that God's perfect Word doesn't exist today and that KJV defenders are ridiculous for presuming that it does. In fact, it was this very issue that helped me to differentiate between "godly men and women" and "wolves in sheep's clothing." A VERY large portion of the Scriptures was specifically written to believers living in the end times. God had it written down ages ago to prove His sovereignty when the events actually take place, and to prepare His children for what is to come. One must question why the Almighty God would not perfectly preserve His Word until the end of time for the people to whom His Word was written. To say that God's Word is not preserved perfect to this day is to call God a liar, because He repeated stated that He would indeed preserve His Word to the end. So vital and sacred is God's Word that it is written, "He has magnified his WORD above all His name." Here is a suggestion. The next time you attend a church function, or watch a Christian TV preacher, which uses a version OTHER THAN the KJV, follow along in the KJV and compare what the preacher is saying to whatthe KJV actually says. Most often you will find that not only are the Scriptures different, but the preacher will then preach an entire sermon based on the wording of his version which can no way be supported by the words of the KJV. This means the preacher is teaching NEW DOCTRINE. The so-called "Rapture" doctrine is a prime example, which no one ever heard of until the new versions showed up. In addition, the anti-gay doctrine of today's Church stems from the corrupted Latin Vulgate bible of the Catholic Church. Through wicked men and wicked bibles, it has been taught through the centuries that ANY sex among married people that does not have the intent of procreation is a sin, so therefore homosexuality is a sin. This belief passed into Protestantism and now infects the Body of Christ. You will note that ALL of the new bible version are anti-gay, but as I have shown on the website, the KJV is NOT anti-gay and in fact doesn't even address homosexuals - because it's not an issue! The Bible addresses fornication and adultery. It addresses men and women who are heterosexual but engage in homosexual fornication. Bigoted men, who wrote the new versions, took non-gay verses of the Bible and MADE them anti-gay in their versions, even going so far as to actually using the word "homosexual"! It was great talking with you. I'm always here to chat further. In Christ our Lord, Manager, Rev. Jim
