Brethren,
The gay "community" is so corrupt that when a person grows weary of it and chooses to turn to the Lord, they seem to think that "leaving the sinful gay community" and " become a heterosexual" are one and the same thing. A prostitute may stop her sinful LIFESTYLE, but that doesn't mean that she stops being attracted to males, and neither does that mean that she will never have sex again for the rest of her life. You do not have to "stop being homosexual" simply because you wish to cease living the typical "gay lifestyle".
That's something else I wanted to comment on too.....the perception of the word LIFESTYLE. If a gay man is living a married life with another man, and obviously having sex with him, he is NOT living a "homosexual lifestyle". he is merely BEING a married man. On the other hand, if a homosexual (or their heterosexual counterparts) were to constantly indulge in fornication, booze it up at the clubs every night, and prance around like a fairy from hell at the gay pride parade - THEN one would be living a "gay lifestyle". While in fact we ARE called away from our sinful nature and worldly behavior by the Lord, we are not, however, called away from our IDENTITY. God will never ask you to change your skin color or eye color or nationality or gender - and He will not ask you to change your IDENTITY. You do not need to convert to heterosexuality in order to stop living like you're in a Roman bath-house. Heterosexuals do not stop being heterosexual when they become Christians, and neither do homosexuals need to stop being homosexuals when they become Christians.
In Christ,
-Rev. Jim
